Mervnide Pierre, CNM, MS, (she/her/hers) has been practicing as a midwife for about 7 years. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Nurse-Midwifery Program and before moving to New York, Ms. Pierre completed her undergraduate degree at Mount Holyoke College. Growing up in the church is where she grew an affinity for helping and serving others but her undergrad experience is where she also developed the language for her passion in birthwork.

Ms. Pierre’s experience as an educator includes previous appointment as adjunct faculty at Columbia University School of Nursing, guest lecturing for their DNP Midwifery program, and clinical precepting for midwifery students. Her upbringing as a first generation Haitian inspires her belief in hard work, community and culture. Outside of birthwork, her other interests include mental health and wellness, astrology, food, and fitness. When she is not working, she enjoys a good playlist, buying too many candles, exploring Brooklyn with friends, and dreaming of her next vacation.
